คุณ Sergio กล่าวถึงคอนเซ็ปหลักที่เป็นแรงบันดาลใจในการถ่ายภาพของซีรี่ย์นี้: “ผมเริ่มต้นกับไอเดียขำๆเล่นๆ แต่มองอีกแง่หนึ่งก็เป็นภาพที่สะท้อนความเป็นจริงในชีวิตประจำวันของหลายๆคนในประเทศไทยที่ต้องเผชิญหน้ากับความรุนแรง ทุจริตคอรัปชั่น รวมถึงอาชญากรหน้าแปลกๆจากนานาประเทศทั่วโลก แต่ทั้งหมดนี้ก็เป็นอีกด้านหนึ่งของการใช้ชีวิตแบบกรุงเทพ… ถ้าไม่มีคงกลายเป็นเมืองแสนน่าเบื่ออย่างสิงโปร์ที่ทุกอย่างมันดูเป็นระเบียบจนเกินไป”

Sergio Del Amo on the concept behind the “Gangster” deck series : “As for the idea behind the series, everything started in a humorous key, but it reflects a day to day reality sadly accepted by everyone on thai grounds…Violence, corruption and dodgy foreigners… But after all that’s one of the reasons Bangkok is what it is, otherwise it would be Singapore”
